I scored only 40 marks in JEE mains 2017 (last year i got 88marks),even my 12th board percentage is not good (65% in CBSE),my category is general, what should I do now? Which level of colleges will I get,with such marks?

Try private colleges like VIT, SRM and Manipal. Score good in their entrance exams and you'll find yourself in a good institute.
