Distance Education programs in Engineering are not valid as per the norms of AICTE / UGC. Before join in any distance education programs, please make sure that these programs are recognized by AICTE/UGC and Distance Education Council of India. Wish you all the best. -
If the college has the policy to take students of lateral entry, then surely you can take admission, which for most of the good colleges is there. -

The name of the institute appears to give some goose bumps. Please check up if it's a recognized college. If yes then only proceed further.
