I've completed my graduation with BBA stream. Am I eligible to take admission in MCA?

Hello Munir, Yes, you are eligible for MCA after completing BBA. MCA-MASTER OF COMPUTER APPLICATION is a post graduation degree course of two years duration having four semesters. The candidate having completed Graduation in any discipline with at least 60% marks is eligible to apply for MCA course. Apart from this the candidate should have Mathematics in 10+2 level or in Graduation. There is no age limit for application for MCA course. As you are a Graduate in Business Administration you can apply for MCA. Some reputed Institution conducts entrance exam for admission to MCA course. Good luck Thank you

Hello Munir Yes of course you can do MCA i.e. Masters in Computer Application after BBA course. But first of all you have to think that in which course you have to take admission i.e. in a regular course or in a correspondence course. The minimum eligibility criteria for the regular MCA course is graduation in any field but having maths as a subject in the graduation is compulsory. Many good institutes like DU has minimum eligibility criteria for regular MCA is graduation in any stream but having maths as an essential subject in 10+2 level. But if you want to do the correspondence course then you need not to take maths as the subject. In IGNOU, where MCA is fully recognized with UGC and AICTE has its eligibility criteria with .only graduation in any field. In that case you have to read maths paper extra in the MCA. But if you don't have maths subject, then don't worry, then after you can take admission in regular universities. In that case you should do PGDCA i.e. Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application from distance learning. This is a 1 year duration course and after doing this course, you can get admission in 2nd year in MCA from regular university. Mainly MCA is a 3 year course but if you will do PGDCA then you can do it only in 2 years. MCA is the computer software related course by which you will get the job of software engineer in the big companies like Infosys, Satyam etc. But if you want to do MBA course and have interested in computer management then you can do MBA in IT i.e. Information Technology. In this course you will get the managerial post in software technology.
