I've completed my higher secondary scoring 53%. I want to do Msc. Astrophysics in my p.g. Am I eligible to this course in my future?

My pleasure is to be a astrophysics scientist in my future. But everybody says that the job is tougher to get entered and there's no way to get any job with below 60%... I've really lost my hope with my 53% of mark... Am I still eligible? I don't want to be a teacher but a scientist... Thank You....
