I've done a Diploma in electrical and electronics engineering from Arunachal University, can I get into DU for B.Tech?

For admission, you need to qualify entrance exam i.e, LEET. You can for B. Tech (3 years) through lateral entry. Diploma holders in any stream are eligible to take admission, in the second year of the course. They must have done their diploma after 10th (3 year) with min 50% or after class12th (2 year) and they need to qualify LEET. Various engineering colleges in India also offer direct admission to diploma holders in second year of the course and in reputed institutes, after completing diploma student gets entry in second year of B. Tech through LEET. Some private institutes like BITS Pilani, VIT , LPU University etc. conduct their separate entrance test. Dear Davendra, You can get lateral entry in B.Tech. For admission in government colleges, you need to clear LEET test. There are many good private universities, like Lovely Professional University, Manipal University, SRM, etc. are offering B.Tech. They have their different criteria for admissions. Some offer admission on basis of JEE scores, some offer admission on basis of their own tests and some offer admission on the basis of both. Some even offer direct admission on basis of marks in class 12th. Some of the universities also offer scholarships on the basis of your performance in class 12th or JEE or even during the course. All these universities offer world class learning atmosphere to students along with good placements. Check their websites for more details. Good luck. but then there are good private universities like Lovely, Manipal, Thapar, etc offering B.Tech Lateral. They have their different criteria for admissions. Some offer admission on basis of LEET, some offer admission on basis of their own tests and some offer admission on the basis of both. Some even offer direct admission on basis of marks in diploma. Some of the universities also offer scholarships on basis of your performance in previous qualifying exam. Yes, you can get admission for B-.Tech in Delhi Colleges through lateral entry in second year. But, if you want get admitted in government engineering college, then you have to crack the entrance exam.
