I've done B.Tech in mechanical and want to go for MBA in France or Germany. Which is the better option considering job opportunities?

Hi, France and Germany are both top study abroad destination undoubtedly, but when it comes to management education France is always a bit ahead of Germany. The French B-schools are excellent and the French job market is ripe with opportunities for management grads. That being said, Germany is again a bit ahead of France when it comes to engineering and so on. But, both the countries have some prominent B-schools which are well established and very popular among employers all over Europe. Some of the top B-schools of both countries for MBA or MIM or any other management degree will be: Germany: 1. ESMT Berlin 2. Manheim university 3. HHL Leipzig graduate school of business 4. EBS 5. WHU otto beishem school of business France: 1. Insead 2. HEC 3. ESSEC 4. ESCP 5. EDHEC/Grenoble 6. EMLYON Both, Germany and France give Indian students opportunity to extend post study work visa for over a year.during which time one can search for jobs. Once you land a job, staying there with a work permit is relatively easier compared to other countries. A big advantage that Germany has over any other study abroad location in the world is the fact that much of its public and private universities receive government donation thereby decreasing the cost of studying there absolutely nominal, sometimes lesser than even studying in India. Moreover, Berlin, Munich are some of the cheapest cities to live in for students according to the QS ranking of student cities. Again, French B-schools might seem a bit costly, but they provide more scholarships than any other b schools of their league. So, overall it is purely based on your choice of country and interest and priorities because no one can go wrong choosing one over the other.

The major benefit you get from these countries is tuition fee, which is comparatively lower than other countries like UK, USA, etc. But, the major constraint is the language. Germany is a much better option as you are from mechanical background.

Both, France and Germany are amongst the top 10 destinations for MBA. It is hard to pick out a better option as both countries have immense opportunities for MBA grads. Post study work permits, PR options are also available. Figure out what your specialization would be and check out market trends in these areas, you must research which country offers better opportunities in your desired field of interest. Compare the expenses, location, climate, languages spoken, languages you need to learn and add all factors to take your decision.
