I've done M.Sc in analytical chemistry and want to do Ph.D in analytical. Is it okay to do Ph.D in analytical or what all options do I have?

The score of M.Sc is 78% and now am doing a job in NCL as a Project Asst. at Pune and starting preparation for NET or GATE exam.
