I've given JEE Mains paper-2 this year and my score is 172, can I attempt once again in next year?

Hello, I hope you are doing well. Yes, definitely, you can appear in JEE examination 3 times in a row also try to score good in NATA as well because you will get NITs and IITs with JEE paper 2 marks but for government and other universities you need to go with NATA scores. Work hard and score well in JEE PAPER 2 and NATA.
