No salary is a big salary. Some mechanical engineers earn more than CS and sometimes CS earns more than mechanical engineers. It all depends on HOW YOU WORK, FOR WHOM YOU WORK AND HOW MUCH YOU LOVE YOUR WORK.

Mechanical has more scopes as mechanical engineering fields dont face as much recession as CS or IT industries do. though u will need a lot of hard work in mechanical. while CS is relatively simpler. good luck
