You can get a seat in mechanical upto a rank of 4,000 - 5,000 in the main campus.

It's all relative. Depends what the people who have scored better than your want. But you will easily get it if you get a rank around 3k. For a rank like 4k, you might not get it in the first round but it MIGHT get upgraded later and this also depends on the seat availability which happens if someon
