I want to be a Deputy Superintendent in punjab police, so wether i should go for pps or pcs and link of site where i can get all the data

I am going to graduate next year in 2015 and want to be a deputy superintendent in punjab police.I am doing B.Tech in mechanical engineering.The thing is i have not much knowledge about the process through which i can acheive my goal.I was lateral entry in my degree.Suggest me examination and books
