If you want to be a programmer than first of all do MCA than go for placement.

After completing BSc CS you can opt for MCA. For that you need to appear for CET entrance exam for MCA. As keen interest in Software Development, You can also go ahead with .Net Certifications from Microsoft like MCSP or MCSD.
