Hi. A BBA degree is good enough to secure an entry-level management jobs, however, for career growth will be limited unless you pursue an MBA degree which will expand your career scope. A BBA degree will help you understand the basics of the management and would go a long way if you are planning for CAT and other entrance exams of highly ranked B-Schools. While BBA degree is for those who want to make a career in management and entrepreneurship, the B.Com degree is for those who want to pursue career in finance, taxation or accountancy fields. Go for a B.Com degree, if you are planning to pursue CA/ICWA/CS. After B.Com, students can opt for M.Com or MBA in Finance to expand their career scope further. Both BBA and B.Com are good options for students for an excellent career growth.

Venkatesh, It is purely the interest of the aspirant to enroll either in B.Com or BBA depending upon the aim he wises to achieve. BBA courses offer an opportunity to acquire professional skills in the early stage of their career as a management professional. This undergraduate course offers a deep understanding and development of important business skills such as leadership, communication skills, critical thinking, and decision-making whereas B.Com degree is structured to provide the students managerial skills in disciplines related to commerce. Also, by the end of the programme, students gain an in-depth knowledge on core subjects like accounting, law, statistics, finance, marketing just to name a few. As per my views, as per your interest to be an entrepreneur, you may proceed for BBA. There are many good B-Schools like Iims, FMS Delhi, ISB, SIBM, IBS Hyderabad, XIM/XLRI and LPU, etc. You need to explore the eligibility norms and dates of admission for the B-Schools mentioned above. All the best.

Since you want to be an entrepreneur, It s advisable to pursue Bachelors in Business Administration from a very good university which has entrepreneurship in curriculum as well as its ecosystem. As you know entrepreneurship cannot be taught theoretically, the practical application is must. One name that comes to mind is LPU. With its tailor made curriculum for industry immersion and massive scale of operations LPU has become a huge community in itself. About 30000 students and 5000 plus staff are there in campus at any given point of time with a vast majority living inside the campus accommodations. This itself becomes a huge entrepreneurship opportunity. Moreover the innovation, design thinking and business incubation labs make it a hub of start up activity! It even goes to the length of providing SEED capital upto 10 lacs or deserving start ups. At any given point of time 300 plus student ventures run inside the campus in initial stages. Second the biggest factor is its student diversity, It gives the students unique sensibility for different cultures and networking, which are both important for businessman. Students are exposed to entrepreneurship and community development projects too, which gives the real-time exposure in handling business situations and also the organizing skills. Then there are trainings in cutting edge technologies like SAP, Advance excel, Github etc. Which are part of the programme, thus helping you learn the tricks of business before actually starting it. So, as a aspiring entrepreneur, BBA hons makes a lot of sense. Hope this helps DVD.
