I want to be an entrepreneur. Which course would be better after 12th among B.Com and BBA?

BBA (Bachelor in Business Administration) is a course in business administration that is a level lower than MBA that is a graduate level degree course in management. BBA is a three year professional course that include various subjects such as HRM, accounting, finance, marketing, entrepreneurship, MS operations management etc. It is thus a good course designed to give an insight into the field of management. However, it is always prudent to go for an MBA as it not only increases career opportunities; it also makes a student preferable in all sorts of industries. One can also do MCA after BBA to have inputs from both management and computers to broaden their skills. Hi. A BBA degree is good enough to secure an entry-level management jobs, however, for career growth will be limited unless you pursue an MBA degree which will expand your career scope. A BBA degree will help you understand the basics of the management and would go a long way if you are planning for CAT and other entrance exams of highly ranked B-Schools. While BBA degree is for those who want to make a career in management and entrepreneurship, the B.Com degree is for those who want to pursue career in finance, taxation or accountancy fields. Go for a B.Com degree, if you are planning to pursue CA/ICWA/CS. After B.Com, students can opt for M.Com or MBA in Finance to expand their career scope further. Both BBA and B.Com are good options for students for an excellent career growth.

Venkatesh, It is purely the interest of the aspirant to enroll either in B.Com or BBA depending upon the aim he wises to achieve. BBA courses offer an opportunity to acquire professional skills in the early stage of their career as a management professional. This undergraduate course offers a deep understanding and development of important business skills such as leadership, communication skills, critical thinking, and decision-making whereas B.Com degree is structured to provide the students managerial skills in disciplines related to commerce. Also, by the end of the programme, students gain an in-depth knowledge on core subjects like accounting, law, statistics, finance, marketing just to name a few. As per my views, as per your interest to be an entrepreneur, you may proceed for BBA. There are many good B-Schools like Iims, FMS Delhi, ISB, SIBM, IBS Hyderabad, XIM/XLRI and LPU, etc. You need to explore the eligibility norms and dates of admission for the B-Schools mentioned above. Since you want to be an entrepreneur, It s advisable to pursue Bachelors in Business Administration from a very good university which has entrepreneurship in curriculum as well as its ecosystem. As you know entrepreneurship cannot be taught theoretically, the practical application is must. One name that comes to mind is LPU.
