You should target Project Management as a career in that case, as General Management is more inclined towards strategy whereas the former is an Operations role.

Project management will give you the clear insight and appropriate aspects, practical knowledge to make appropriate use of human resources, finance, and technology. MBA in this branch will help in career growth. Some universities like Lovely Professional Universities are providing industrial competitive courses like MBA (Supply Chain and Logistics) which can be good in career growth.

Project management will be a better option for you to upgrade your career .But you also need to be aware about products development ,operations and logistics.
General mba can help you for project management but specialized branch will give you an edge over others.
    Think before you take steps.

Dear, as far my knowledge goes project management course gives you stepwise as well as details knowledge about how to deliver a project on the mutually agreed timeline to a customer within pre-defined project cost with optimal utilization of agreed manpower. So it is clear that project management deals and focuses only smooth delivery of the project( Business) in a predefined time but as you aspire for "Industrial Engineer" with your B.Tech background, it would be more beneficial to go with MBA with specialization in Production and Operations. Think and decide.
    Best Wishes.
