I want to become a pilot but I have bad eyesight. Can I become a pilot?

    As long as your vision can be corrected to 20/20 with glasses or contacts, you will be eligible for a 1st Class FAA Medical Certificate, which makes you eligible to fly as a civilian professional pilot. This is much less restrictive than military pilot vision requirements. Military Pilot eyesight requirements:
    To become a military pilot/Navigator, candidate's vision can be no worse than 20/70 (correctable with glasses to 20/20) in each eye. Normal depth perception and color vision is required. Effective May 21, 2007, applicants who have had PRK and LASIK eye surgery are no longer automatically disqualified from flight training. Regards
