I want to become an actor. I know some acting and dance but have no idea. What should I do? I have completed my class 12th and belong to UP.

Making it as an actor takes talent, but pure luck plays a major role in getting your big break. You might be tempted to jump right into the audition process, but if you are a beginner with no training, the best thing you can do is find some sort of acting class. Most actors have spent years training to become even good enough for small parts. In addition to attending acting classes and/or workshops, you'll need to get some headshots made and begin preparing a portfolio.

Hi Chandra Prakash! To pursue acting, you should primarily take some theater or acting classes. Acting is a highly competitive field and you need to prepare yourself in the best possible way. You will need some training to polish your skills. Once you are confident about your acting skills, you can get your portfolio done and make some short audition videos. Send these to the casting agencies and wait till they find a suitable role for you. Please remember that in order to pursue a career as an actor in India, you will have to move to Mumbai. You cannot become an actor by staying anywhere else.
