I want to become an anchor but my parents are not supporting me. Can you suggest an institute for the same?

Hi, You can go for Mass Communication, either Diploma or Graduation, and then there you can get theoretical, practical knowledge about TV Anchor. May be you will be able to convince your parents while pursuing the course. Show them your zeal. Work on yourself which are very important to be a TV Anchor: You should be a good speaker/orator, knowledge of Current Affairs or about the particular task on which you are going to host, Pleasant Personality and Camera Friendly Face. Later on, you can join internship in any of the Media house which will enhance your confidence and your communication skills. You can move ahead in your anchoring career, Make contacts, Learn More and more practically, Observe other anchors like how they host, work on your language, build up communication skills etc. As far as I know, they hire you once you are properly trained by them. The best way to start with anchoring is becoming an emcee in the events. EMCEE is the one who hosts the entire event by anchoring. But the primary thing that you must keep in mind is, you should be fluent and confident enough to face a huge audience. The command on the one or two languages is a must. Once you'll start as an emcee and start earning well, you can ask your parents to then allow you to go for a professional course.
