Choose your area of interest, search about both stream, scopes are comparatively equal in both stream, you need to know about yours choices but from my point of view I am also a engineer, mechanical engineering is best, I hope it helps you.

1) Go to "Google Baba".
2) Do some basic research on what are opportunities for Mechanical Engineering Scholars & for EEE Scholars.
3) What is life of a Mechanical Engineer and that of a EE Engineer.
4) You can select one which is more interesting/fascinating to you.
