I suggest if possible do a part-time or some short time course which has a classroom learning. Distance learning in Design courses is not recommended.

I would not suggest correspondence for anything in design. But if you really do not have time maybe learn some design fundas from MOOC. Design is a field that is age old and has been evolving every year like science. Again like science it pays to be at the cutting edge. For e.g. science students do
