I want to do Diploma in engineering after class 10th. Can you guide?

Personal Suggestion: After class 10th, complete your class 12th, and then go for a Degree, because a Degree course is more flexible. Depth of knowledge imparted will be comparatively more than that in a Diploma. Pay scale at the time of employment is comparatively higher.

Hi Ashish, Eligibility Criteria for taking admission is Pass with 50% aggregate marks in 10th, subject to qualifying entrance exam. Some institutes give direct admission to students on the basis of their marks in 10th. You can do Diploma in engineering from any college, as there are many colleges that provide Diploma after 10th. You firstly need to give an entrance exam, which is different for different states like for Andhra Pradesh it is Polytechnic Common Entrance Test Andhra Pradesh (Andhra Pradesh POLYCET). For Uttarakhand, it is Uttarakhand Polytechnic Entrance Exam (UBTER JEEP). Likewise, for every state different test is there you need to clear those entrance exams to get admission in good Diploma colleges.

For going to Diploma, you should have passed 10th exam from any recognised board and should have more than 55 percentage in 10th. Appear for state level entrance exam conducted every year by various states and secure good rank to get good college.

You can do Diploma in any branch of engineering after 10th. You can also make lateral entry into B.Tech after that which would become of 3 years in duration.
