There is a component of statistics which fetches 40-50 marks. Despite being weak in maths you will have to develop expertise to deal with this section. Rest you can manage without maths.

In Civil Service Exams - Mains, you can choose your beloved subject and avoid Maths while in Prelims or CSAT, only basic high school-level questions are asked. Hi Poornananda.
Indeed you need not take any Maths as a subject but there are various subjects which will help you do better. You need to know the basics in Mathematics which is part of the General Paper.
Take the subjects which interests you better.
