    1.Journalist/ Reporter.

4.Writer/ Sub-Editor/ Proofreader with publishing houses.
You do not want to get into a job after your degree? No problem. You can have quite a few good options to go for a higher study after a degree in MA English Literature or a masters in English literature. You can opt to do a Ph.D. in any of the following subjects. There are many other options too.
    1.Ph.D. in Linguistics
    2.Ph.D. in Comparative Literature
3.Ph.D. in Classical English Literature or Ph.D. in Classics
    4.Ph.D. in English Language
5.Ph.D. in Teaching of English as a Foreign Language

MA has a good scope in the teaching line. Always go for a regular mode of study, and then appear for NET.

MA in English is offered via Distance Mode by almost every University which offers distance learning. You may go ahead as there is no issue.
However, I advise, being an MA English and a teacher of the subject, if you are to do it in Distance, read and learn as much as possible so that you can compensate the absence of regular learning.
