MBA in finance is the best option for you, if you are pursuing B.Com. Try to score above 50% and appear for CAT and MAT. I am of the opinion that one must not pursue BBA, to go for MBA finance. B.Com makes you proficient in core commerce knowledge and with some management skills learnt in MBA, you can do wonders. I am a student of Management of Doon Business School, Dehradun. The college came into existence 12 years ago and the placement records have been excellent over the years.

If you are sure about MBA in finance, then you must do B.Com (Hons). That would help you in understanding every basic concept related to finance. But if you want to have 2nd option also, then you can choose B.Com. Only in that, you will learn every subject of commerce.

From your question, your seem much clear about your future that you want to do MBA in finance and that's very much appreciated.
I think you should opt for B.Com honors in a finance-related subject, where you will get much wider exposure for finance and it will be easy for you later to join MBA as both will be almost similar rather than having differences.
You can even go for B.Com if you want to touch each and every aspect of business norms but here you will not be able to get focused where in honors, you will excel in a particular subject giving you very much exposure for one thing.
And if you want a UG in finance as your base support

Both courses cover finance and related subjects. So can't say that which one is better than another. But more students of B.Com degree choose finance for MBA.

B.Com is the best if you opt taxation/accounting as specialisation and BBA is best if opt Finance as specialisation. but between in this both BBA/B.Com for MBA in finance, I'll suggest B.Com only because one of my friend pursued B.Com-MBA (Finance) and got placed in Deloitte.

You can opt for any stream in graduation, there is no subject specification required.
