This is definitely a good field to make a career in it. To pursue MBA in this specialization the minimum qualification is Graduation and in some colleges only students from engineering or technology domain can apply. The admissions are generally on the basis of CAT, MAT, CMAT scores but some universities like UPES do conduct their own entrance exams as well. Some of the top institutes that you can consider for this program are UPES Dehradun, Jk business school gurgaon, Aditya Institute of Management Studies and Research, Mumbai. Among these UPES is one of the finest university of India specialized for such core domain programs and have very good track record of placements.
