I want to do MBA. Which is the best specialization in terms of salary and scope among marketing and finance?

    Every functional area in MBA is special in its own. Both have good amount of packages and career prospects.

    Both streams have their own importance. It depends on you that in which stream you are more interested in, also as you said you want to do MBA, which means you're not yet into it. So, I would suggest you to wait because nowadays apart from these two there are also some other streams which you can go for.

    You can go for business and marketing or finance. These two fields have good scope.

    Both streams have their own importance. It depends on you that in which stream you are more interested in, also as you said you want to do MBA, which means you're not yet into it. So, I would suggest you to wait, because nowadays apart from these two there are also some other streams which you can go for.

    Well its depends upon you, Which branch you want to opt. MBA in Finance, Marketing and HR are very lucrative fields of specialisation. All these branches of MBA offer opportunities in various sectors and with exciting job opportunities. Although, choosing which field should you specialize in totally depends on your interests. In India, there are also many colleges that can help in bridging the gap of transforming the students into professionals.     In the short run, finance (investment banking and sales and markets) is better in comparison to any other field. But, in the long run you will realise that your salary plateaus after around 10 years and that is when other fields start paying much more. That is quite normal since there in you will be getting into senior managerial roles, leading companies, while in finance the job normally doesn't change much. Also, finance jobs are in general much more difficult to come by these days and are much more demanding (time wise).     Both, marketing and finance are the best specialization for MBA. If you can work without any pressure and achieve targets, then you must go for finance.
