I want to do my PhD from Australia. Is my husband allowed? How many years of marriage is necessary? Is he allowed to work under my visa?
I am 2nd year Masters physics at IIT madras. CGPA of 8.45 I have a citizenship of Mauritius.

If you both have been married and/or living in with for 12 months minimum he will be allowed to apply for the spouse visa. Your husband will ideally have unlimited work rights as the spouse of a Masters degree (coursework or research) or a doctorate degree student. However at the time of application certain financial evidences have to be provided. You need check with the consultancy directly for any changes or updates. Everything is available on the Australian Government- Department of Immigration and Border Protection website. Regards
