I want to do Ph.D in mechanical engineering as an external candidate in India. What should I do?

I am working as an assistant professor in mechanical engineering dept. in engineering institute in Kashmir. I have done M.Tech and now, I want to do Ph.D from any private or govt. institute in India. I would like to continue my job here in Kashmir.

    Hello Faizan,
    It's indeed gratifying to know your dream of doing doctoral research in mechanical engineering. This study in any case is external only. You will have to clear qualifying exam for Ph.D. Then you need to find a guide and with help of guide lock on to research topic. Once this is done then your actual work begins.
