You should find out a topic as well as a University approved guide first. If you have to clear some entrance test such as NET/Departmental Admission tests or so do so before you register for PhD.

there is minimum 55% requirement to take admision in PHD , i will suggest you to improve your percentage to take admission in good universty for PHD
