Hi Muskan,
You can opt for any course for your UG programme, as the field of education doesn't really matter, when you apply for a UPSC exam. What matters is that, you should be a graduate and how you perform in the exam. To prepare for the exam, refer to class 9th to class 12th NCERT books of Geography, History and Civics. Read at least 2 newspapers daily, and join the mock test series in order to clear the exam. -

3 years agoHello Muskan, When you apply for a UPSC exam, it doesn't really matter what field of study you have, therefore you can choose any course for your UG programme. It is important that you have a degree and that you perform well on the exam. Consult the NCERT texts of geography, history, and civics from classes nine through twelve as you get ready for the test. To pass the exam, read at least two newspapers every day and sign up for the mock test series.
