I want to join defence services after B.Tech, which trade I should choose in B.Tech?
Asked about Chandigarh Engineering College, Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran - B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering

Hello,
If you intend to join Defence services, you can choose mechanical engineering. You will surely be accepted with other branches as well but Mechanical/civil will help you in the long run. -
I think branches like- mechanical, instrumentation and control, electrical would be of great trades.

Dear Rohit,
It depends upon which division of defence you are looking for. If you are in B.Tech then the streams like aerospace & aeronautics, mechanical, electronics & robotics will help you to land in the manufacturing unit of DRDO, HAL, Bharat Dynamics Limited or other.
Hope this helps. Good Luck. -

7 years agoChoose mechanical electrical or electronics though mechanical and electrical have more seats through CDS and university level entry scheme than electronics.
