There are numerous branches like mechanical, robotics, electronics, aerospace and aviation which may help you to secure a defence service job in different sectors.

    Hello,
If you intend to join Defence services, you can choose mechanical engineering. You will surely be accepted with other branches as well but Mechanical/civil will help you in the long run.

If you really want to join defence services after B.Tech then you must choose the core branches of B.Tech which are mechanical, civil and electrical engineering. They are very much in demand for defence services.

    Dear Rohit,
It depends upon which division of defence you are looking for. If you are in B.Tech then the streams like aerospace & aeronautics, mechanical, electronics & robotics will help you to land in the manufacturing unit of DRDO, HAL, Bharat Dynamics Limited or other.
    Hope this helps. Good Luck.

Choose mechanical electrical or electronics though mechanical and electrical have more seats through CDS and university level entry scheme than electronics.
