Hello, To join NDA one must appear for NDA (National Defence Academy) written exam and the SSB (Services Selection Board) Interview and clear both of them. Other than NDA entry,12th Science (Mathematics Group) passed students may also join the Indian Army as an Officer through the TES Entry Scheme. This one is a Technical entry meant for intermediate level applicants.

Being a faculty member of Lovely Professional University I want to share some facts about LPU's initiative towards placement of students in Defence / Government jobs.
    1) NCC is available in the university. Both Army and Airforce wing is available in the university. Interested students have to go through a selection process. Details are mentioned in the attached policy.
    2) Indian Army hires students from LPU through UES (University Entry Scheme). Every year 300-400 students participate in that drive. This hiring involves following steps:
    a) LPU Students apply on Indian Army portal. B) Army makes some college/university as center for GD/I

For NDA you need to have Science and Maths but if you want to join Army after graduation then take up any stream. Pick up the stream that you are interested in. I had arts and I appeared for SSB interview tough I couldn't clear. Good Luck for your future endeavours.

You can join the army through NDA mainly after the 10th or 12th. After graduation, you can appear for the UPSC exam and join the Indian military academy for training. Another route is through NCC. After engineering, you can be recruited through the technical service commission. Also, there are SSC recruitments as well.

For getting into NDA after 12th one of the way is to crack the UPSC-NDA exam that is being conducted by UPSC (Union public selection board) twice every year named as NDA & NA-I and NDA & NA-II. For details you can check UPSC website, its been listed under the section NDA and NA exam.

Absolutely! Having a humanities background is no barrier to pursuing Fine Arts at Chandigarh University.

The programme welcomes students from all streams, including humanities, as long as they meet the minimum requirement of 50% marks in their 12th exams. Many humanities students find the programme a natural extension of their academic interests, as the curriculum often connects with cultural, historical, and social themes. For example, a student who studied history might bring unique perspectives into courses like painting or applied arts.

The university values creativity and passion over specific subjects studied in school.
