I want to join LPU but is it necessary to pass LPU-NEST or JEE Mains?

    Dear Furqan,
    You have to mention the course in which you are interested. LPU offers more than 250 programmes wherein some courses need LPU NEST as mandatory and in some it is given for scholarship. You need to highlight the course in which you are seeking admission. For more details visit:

    Hi, Kindly mention the course in which you are interested. LPU offers more than 250 programmes wherein LPU NEST is mandatory and in some, it is given for scholarship.     Dear Furqan, The eligibility criteria for B.Tech at LPU is : Pass with minimum 60% in 10+2 with Physics, mathematics and English + valid score of JEE Mains / LPU NEST. However if you have score of above 90% in 10+2, you will be exempted from any entrance examination. Not only the exemption, you also stand to secure the highest scholarship slabs available till May 31, 2020.     It basically depends on the programme in which you are interested and want to apply for. There is direct admission to some courses and in some its mandatory to qualify the LPU NEST exam and in some, LPU NEST exam + Interview. There are courses 200+ programme like engineering, Honours programme whose eligibility in the qualifying exam is 60 %, some, it is 55% and for others, it is 50%. Even if you are getting direct admission in the branch you desire to opt, you can give the LPU NEST exam for scholarship.     Hello,
    The criteria is totally dependent on the course you want to pursue in LPU. LPU offers 200+ programmes and in order to avail admission, a student should fulfill the eligibility criteria. Programmes like BBA B.Com B.Sc. Computer Science, etc. LPU NEST is not compulsory, but programmes like B.Tech, PhD, etc. Either LPUNEST/JEE Mains acts as a parameter to avail admission. If you are focusing on taking admission in B.Tech, then you should have a valid score in LPU NEST or qualifying in JEE Main (conducted in january 2020) to attend the special schedule of counselling.     Please specify the course you want to pursue as LPU NEST is compulsory for some programs and optional for a few others. However, you can avail scholarship by appearing for LPU NEST in every programme.
