Hi Chitra, The ISTQB Certified Tester programme provides an internationally recognized certification for software testers. There are currently two levels of certification: The Foundation Level and the Advanced Level. Most protocol testing requires you to have an engineering background and it will help to have some networking certifications to make up for that. Since you have done MCA, It will help to know at least 3 protocols like RIP, BGP, OPSF, SNMP, ISIS, IPSEC, etc. It will also help to know C+ and some scripting languages like PHP or Perl, though this is not mandatory.
