I want to know about the career in hotel management. Is it a good career to earn well?

<p>The course is meant for students looking for demanding positions in hospitality sector. The students can expect managerial positions after few years of experience. A summer/winter school/ international exposure is as form of educational Programme that offers courses, both academic and non-academic.</li><li><strong>Semester Exchange:</strong>Gain a competitive superiority on your fellow students by spending a full semester at partner foreign university.</li></ul><p>The school also provides its students with training in the 25-room UniHotel on site, which welcomes both domestic and foreign visitors and allows students to work side by side with the staff.</p><p>The school contains two bakeries and five contemporary kitchens. All bakeries and kitchens are outfitted with the tools necessary for a student to learn as much as possible from the most up-to-date journals while performing scientifically. We offer a few training restaurants where a student can learn about the proper way to serve food and drinks. We have a front office laboratory, two housekeeping laboratories, two computer labs with a total of 60 computers, and an aviation simulation lab.</p><p><strong>Placement: </strong>Good placements record with minimum 10% students selected as Management Trainee (Junior Executive level) till date and the placement is with brands like Cox &amp; Kings, Carnival Cruise, Jet Airways, Oberoi, Taj, Leela, etc.</p>

Hi Hotel industry involves combination of various skills like management, food and beverage service, housekeeping, front office operation, sales and marketing, accounting, Cruise Ship Hotel management, Hospital Administration and Catering, Hotel and Tourism Associations, Airline Catering and Cabin Services, Club management, Forest Lodges, Guest Houses amongst others. Expansion of global travel industry and aviation industry is expected to boost hotel industry in next few years. There are more than 2.40 million people working in hotel, catering and allied industry in India and the number is going to increase in next couple of years as new hotels are coming up in large numbers in urban and semi-urban areas. Trained hotel management professionals would have privilege over untrained graduates as hotels are not willing invest in training of recruits rather prefer trained ones. Earning depends on how fast you learn the trade.
