JMI cut off is released along with the result of the JMI Entrance Exam. Cut off is the minimum qualifying marks that are required by the candidates to qualify entrance test and become eligible for the next round of the selection process. Candidates who secure the cut off marks are called for further selection rounds I. e. counseling or interview. The cut off for JMI's B.A. LL.B. (Hons)/BA LL.B. (Hons) (Self Financed) for the session 2022-23 was 83.75. Candidates can take help of previous year cut off to prepare for the exam.

According to the JMI Delhi cutoff 2025, for the General category candidates under the Home State quota, the cutoff ranged from 62.75 and 63.75 percentile in the first round closing cutoff, wherein BSc (Hons) in Geography was the toughest course for admission, followed by BA (Hons) in Geography , with the cutoff in the first round being, 63.75, 63.25 and 63.25, respectively. The cutoff in the last round for the same above mentioned courses was the same as the first round closing cutoffs.
