At Lovely Professional University (LPU), admission to the B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture program requires candidates to have passed 10+2 with English and three subjects out of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, or Agriculture, with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks. Additionally, qualifying the LPUNEST (Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test) is mandatory for admission.

For eligibility students need at least 60% in 10+2 with English and any three subjects from Physics, Chemistry, Math/ Biology/ Agriculture. Those who score 90% or above in their 12th board exams may even qualify for direct admission without taking LPUNEST or if you have minimum 80% in JEE Mains.

Being a student counsellor I have counselled many students who pursued graduation and post graduation in Agriculture BUT couldn't find a good job or successful career , reason being they have completed their degree from the college/universities which was not ICAR approved and this where the misery begins.
LPU is first private university of India to be ICAR approved. Not only this it is also ranked 47th according to NIRF 2022.

The selection of the candidates is based on the entrance examination LPUNEST conducted by the university. The admission procedure is based on the University norms that are based on the merit of the last qualifying examination following eligibility criteria. The final short listing is done by a personal interview and English is a mandatory subject as the medium of instruction is English. The candidates will be selected based on their performance in the LPUNEST.
