No, Section 3, the General Aptitude Test (GAT), in CUET is not compulsory overall. However, it is often a requirement for specific undergraduate programs at many participating universities, especially top-ranked ones like Delhi University (DU), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), and Banaras Hindu University (BHU). Therefore, while not mandatory for all courses, it is highly recommended to prepare for and take the General Test, as it significantly enhances a candidate's chances of admission to many universities and programs.

You can join Tezpur University's integrated courses by JEE mains and CUET-like entrance exams. The cutoff through jee mains for a sc/st category is 51-52. For an OBC-NCL student, it is 73-74. For a gen EWS student, it is 75-76. The common list is like 90-91 like that. These are not the exactly same as I above mentioned they may have some differences in cutoffs. Same as for cuet entry also.

The most recent cutoff dates for Tezpur University's Integrated M.Sc. in Mathematics program for the 2025–2026 academic year are anticipated to be announced in mid-August 2025. The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) results serve as the basis for the cutoffs. The CUET score and other pertinent factors are taken into consideration when creating a merit list for admission.
