Nursing Training School, Burnpur Hospital, is one of the top nursing colleges in West Bengal. The training school is affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS), Kolkata. To get admission in the General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course, the eligibility criteria are that the candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination from any recognized board in regular class mode with at least 40% marks in aggregate. The candidate must be a registered ANM with passing marks. Also, if the candidate is a W.B. State Government employee, 3 years of uninterrupted and satisfactory experience is required as per the TR rule. Apart from it, the candidate must be able to read, write, and express himself in Bengali and/or Nepali. In this college, admissions are usually done on a merit basis for 30 seats. You have to physically go and submit the admission forms in the admission department of the office. After the registration process is over, a merit list will be put up so the selected students can check their names.
