I want to know about the latest cutoff information for M.A. in Economics at Gauhati University.

Gauhati University (GU) is one of the oldest universities in north-eastern India. Today, it works with 341 affiliated colleges. It offers more than 50 undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The University offers admission to a majority of courses on the basis of university, state, or national-level entrance exams. For some postgraduate courses like the Master of Arts in Economics, admission is based on merit in the last qualifying exam. Candidate needs to have minimum 45% in graduation to be eligible for registration process of university. According to university rules, preference is given to candidates who have taken a major or honors course in the concerned subject, in order of their merit or as specified by the department. Admission is through the centralized admission process, and due to high competition for admission, any student scoring above 60% in graduation will have a chance at admission to MA Economics.
