The new syllabus for UGC NET 2025 is divided into two papers: Paper 1 carries topics like General Teaching and Research Aptitude which are: Teaching Aptitude, Research Aptitude, Comprehension, Communication, Mathematical Reasoning, and Data Interpretation. This carries a total of 50 MCQs carrying 100 marks. Paper 2 is subject-specific and contains 100 MCQs according to the chosen subject by the candidate. For every correct answer, the marks obtained are 2, and there is no negative marking. The test is held in English as well as in Hindi to accommodate the participants.
