Mechanical engineering is the discipline that applies the principles of engineering, physics, and materials science for the design, analysis, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. It is the branch of engineering that involves the design, production, and operation of machinery
basically if machine interest u then go for it.

One of the finest core branch of Engineering.Plenty of job opportunities after B.tech but from a reputed college with a "Brandname".which is very essential in bragging a job opportunity in reputed firm.
One more thing i wanna make very clear that core branches dont have such easy life as other branches of engineering. In core branches starting phase of job is very tough, environment very near to armed forces.no air conditioned rooms,no late night pub life.so take your time and decide before taking decision.Good Luck.
