Both Chandigarh University and LPU are good colleges and have a good reputation but I'll suggest you Chandigarh University. LPU and Chandigarh university are good colleges with good brand value and ranked constantly high in various ranking like NIRF. LPU is slightly ranked high. Also you can refer NIRF engineering ranking for this year. During engineering you can pusure demanding add-on skills which can help in placement. Also you can plan for government engineering entrance exam like UPSC engineering services, SSC JE DRDO, ISRO, GATE BHEL, etc. Best wishes.

Chandigarh University (CU) admissions are generally based on CUCET scores for most of the courses. Students need to appear for the test or submit scores of any other accepted exams as stated by the university. Hence, in some cases, you may get admission in CU without CUCET. The CUCET test is also a scholarship test and if you want to get the scholarship benefits offered by the university based on CUCET scores, then you will have to appear for the exam.

The cutoff changes every year and we are in 2025, so you should know the cutoff for NCHMCT JEE 2025. For NCHMCT JEE 2025, the closing rank for Chandigarh University is around 11195 for the B.Sc. (Hons.) Hotel and Hospitality Management course. This number comes from the latest available round-wise data and gives a basic idea of the expected range. If we see older figures, the 2022 cutoff stayed close to 10201 as the opening rank in Round 1 and about 10382 as the closing rank in Round 2.
