i want to prepare for GD/PI for MBA. Please guide me how to start with it.

Dear Ashish, The basic things usually assessed in GD are, • Communication Skills • Interpersonal Skills • Motivational Skills • Team Building Skills • Tolerance to Ambiguity • Divergent Thinking • Listening skills • Presentation Skills • Analytical / Logical skills • Leadership Skills As quality of a good manager is to PROVIDE INFORMATION, PROCESS INFORMATION & USE INFORMATION. So, it's important to assess current strengths in all these areas and accordingly put efforts to strengthen weaknesses. Hi, Group discussion and personal interview are one of the important eligibility criteria to get admission in MBA. In group discussion, mostly the current topics are discussed so it would be advisable for you to keep track of all the current affairs, by reading news papers and magazines. For interview you it would be advisable to appear for mock interviews and for this you can take help of your friends or relative who are working. You can also get in touch with some students who are pursuing MBA, you can take their feed back regarding GD and PI. So please don't be stress full, just read current affairs magazines and newspaper to keep track of all the current affairs, this exercise would surely help you to do well in GD and PI. Hi Ashish, GD/ PI are the most crucial phase of any selectionb criteria as this is the time when your personality takes the lead along with your knowledge. A lot goes in practicing for the same but there is no perfect mantra as such to qualify any GD/PI, but certainly the points mentioned by arun dev are very beneficial and one should definitely consider these!
