I want to Prepare GATE / Other Govt. competetive exams myself by doing teaching job in Engineering college. Will it help in cracking GATE?

I have completed my B tech in 2011 and I have worked with 1 MNC for 1 year as an apprentice and now I would like to prepare for GATE exam and other Govt. competitive exams and to support my financial things i need to do a teaching job parallel to this. Is it helpful to crack my GATE/Other exams
