I want to pursue a career as a PHP programmer,do I need a BCA or MCA or any other CSc related degrees?
I am 34 yrs old man,I am a plain B.Sc. graduate(regular mode) from Calcutta Univ. I have done my graduation in yr 1998 with Physics,Chem & Maths as my subjects with no specialization.

As such there isn't a necessity to hold some degree in computers/ related field while opting for a career as a PHP programmer, you can take this up independently but then the advantage and brighter benefits are likely in case of having a degree in related stream, this can be any course of your

If you have done your degree then you can pursue your career in MCA and do a course on PHP which will be benefit you more. Always a degree in Post graduation is added advantage for you in today's world.
