I want to pursue a course in fashion designing. What should I do?

The latest machinery & soft wares to keep students at the cutting edge of technology. The various programs of the dept. Are supported by materials like books of various international publishers, state of the art labs and design studios. The emphasis is on self-motivated learning by using creativity, exploring techniques & innovating new applications in fashion. In B. Design (Fashion) the students are provided with an opportunity to showcase their design collection through an Annual fashion shows and festivals. You can go for Bachelors in fashion designing. The course will equip the students with creative skills through hand-sketching of the design, to draping, pattern creation, sewing and execution of the finished product. The curriculum is designed to develop skills and in response to the changing needs of the fashion industry. Each student is required to prepare a portfolio and a selected collection of work will be showcased to people from industry and academia at a graduate runway. In BFD (Bachelor in Fashion Design) at JNU JAIPUR, the course curriculum transmits an understanding environment of fashion along with graphic and computer skills. Hi, The eligibility for this course is a Higher Secondary Certificate (10+2) qualification with a minimum aggregate score of 50%. Click open the college web site. Click on admissions and then the stream in which you want to take admission. Check the available scholarship benefits for you. Start filling in the form online updating it with the things it requires. In case you are unable to fill it from the web site would have certain helpline numbers which promptly come for your aid. Just browse some good colleges to get the best academic schemes so that the career you take bring you immense success. Fashion designing is sometimes miss understood from designing and detailing of the fabric up till the make of the garment. If your prefer surface ornamentation or want to design fabrics, opt for a Bachelors in textile designing. If you want to design clothes, drapes, and ready to sell or custom design, opt for a Bachelors in apparel and fashion technology. But if you are unsure even by 10% then you can choose to opt for a Diploma course in fashion designing. Here it would give you a brief of what you would learn in detail in the Bachelors course and if your interest continues to increase and you are ready to devote your time to it, then you can convert the same into the first year of Bachelors by giving an exam and continue to pursue the same. You can do the same at Jd institute of fashion technology, Pearl Academy of fashion, NIFT, Raffles, and many more. Let me know if it was helpful to you.

Hi, If you want to study in INDIA only, then NIFT is the best. You can also try pearl and NIIFT. And, if you are free to move abroad, then Central Saint Martin, London School of Fashion, Parsons and FIT are the leading colleges for fashion designing.
