To apply for the student visa you must be firstly accepted by the German university. It is therefore important that you meet the admission requirements before applying to the university. On receiving the acceptance from the university it is recommended you apply for a student visa at least 3 months in advance before going to Germany. You must apply at the German Embassy in India online or in person. Make sure to carry required documents - application form, passport, acceptance letter from the university, photographs, academic transcript and financial proof. You must also get a health insurance.
