Hey! Final year MBBS student here
I'll suggest to complete your degree beforehand Along with that you can prepare for UPSC too.
If you complete your degree
- UPSC criteria met
- You're prepared for 1 subject of UPSC exams
- You have option B
- No financial crises in future, if anything not went as planned (you can easily earn 1lac/ month as a doctor)
Just a advice for being tension free and happy years ahead
( Final call is yours, Do what will make you feel good? )

Hi,
If you want to quit MBBS and start preparing for UPSC,
see there are 2 options that you can opt for, you can leave MBBS by paying the bond amount of a particular college, and start preparing for UPSC, if your college doesn't have any bond, you are good to go without paying any money.
the second thing that you can do is, complete your MBBS and then prepare for UPSC, as you will be requiring a graduation degree anyway, and there are more benefits if you complete the MBBS and then give UPSC, there are more opportunities.

In my opinion, if you want to prepare for UPSC or any other competitive exams later, you can pursue a BA in Political Science, Economics, History, or Sociology.
