Yes, it is possible to study in New Zealand without IELTS. The New Zealand Immigration Authority conducts an interview with the applicant to assess their level of English proficiency before approving the study visa. Students can fulfill one of several requirements to be exempt from taking the IELTS. Such as having studied in an English-medium school from grades 8 to 12. There are also universities in New Zealand that allow students to study without IELTS scores, including Ph.D. programs.
