I want to switch over my career from mechanical engineer to SAP MM Consultant?

I'v 5.5 yrs of experience in Mechanical CFD field and wrking in a s/w company. My salary (6.5L p.a) but I want some change in my career path and desperate about onsite opportunity wherein I do not have any options in my CFD. Can I get more salary immediately If i switch over to SAP MM. thnks in adv.
